There are many moments in a day. Some are worth remembering forever and some are so forgettable. Many times I think all I do is yell, fuss, and referee because no one can get along. Thankfully those moments pass. Someone smiles or gives a hug and all is well.
Then there are "those" moments. The ones you want to remember forever. The ones that make you so glad four little people call you mom. The ones that make you so thankful for your life. The ones that make your heart melt. The ones that make you thank God for your blessings.
Last night we had one of "those" moments. Emma, Jonah, Samuel, and Elena were talking with each other while eating dessert. Yes, this may sound strange and made up since Elena is only 18 months old. However, the older ones were asking Elena questions, she was answering them correctly, and they were all laughing. Elena was one of them. She was not the baby, but a sibling who could laugh and talk with the others. It was wonderful. Drew and I sat there watching them taking it all in...trying to commit each second to memory.
It is a moment I dream about as a parent. The times when all the kiddos are getting along, showing love, enjoying one another, and having fun. It happened. I, of course, was teary eyed. I can't wait for it to happen again!
