1. The kids are back in school and life is moving ahead quickly. Jonah seems to have more homework these days than Emma. It makes no sense to me since he is in Kindergarten and she is in 3rd grade. Oh, well. What do I know!
Samuel being in school again means that Elena does not get a very good nap on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I so dislike having to wake Elena when she is sleeping so soundly and peacefully in her crib. Yesterday she said, "No Mommy!" as I was trying to wake her. The only good thing is that she goes to bed early!
2. Because we have had lots of visitors since Christmas and an unplanned trip to PA, my house, my life, and my brain has gotten out of control and off track. I feel very behind on the projects I planned to complete this month. Honestly, I have been feeling a little lost and unsure where to start. My run this morning cleared it all up for me. It was a totally cathartic run. I ran fast (all sub 9 miles)...running away all my frustration and lack of focus. I now have a plan and started implementing it today. I will finish my January projects! My laundry room and downstairs bathroom are about to be attacked, cleaned, and simplified!
3. Emma continues to enjoy her running club. She attends each Tuesday and has not missed any days. She gets to run for approximately 20-25 minutes. Since October she has run 21 miles. I could not be more proud!!
